Brigadoon Youth and Service Dogs is always looking for volunteers…
• Help to socialize a puppy
• Training assistance
• Dog walking
• Grooming
• Office administrative help
Don’t have any free time to give? That’s okay - you can help in other ways. Financial contributions are always needed. Remember all donations to Brigadoon Youth and Service Dogs not only are greatly appreciated, they are tax deductible and go 100% toward the training and partnership placement of our dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations
Every assistance dog that is teamed up with a person with disabilities must go through a MINIMUM of 300 hours of training. The first year’s expense of every puppy in training is estimated at $1200.00. This includes the pup's vaccinations, spay/neuter, eye check and food; not training or housing of the pup. When you add the cost of training, 24/7 kennel care and another year of food and medical, the cost can escalate to over $30,000 in a two year period of time.
We also cannot keep our Youth program active if we do not receive donations from individuals, corporate contributions, or grants. Your contributions enable us to accomplish our mission of “offering a helping paw!” to those in need. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Here are some of the ways that you can help financially:
- Ask your employer to set up matching funds
- Contribute to, and fund the endowment
- Make and fund a monthly pledge
- Sponsor a fundraising event. We can help you plan such an event.
- Shop or search on iGive.com
Raise a penny (or more) per search and generate donations from any of the 730+ stores listed with iGive, ranging up to 26%. Also, check out the new searchable coupons and deals, where you will find all available, up to the minute offers and specials. Click on this link to help Brigadoon!

Dine with Nine for a Canine
A fun and easy fundraiser planned for this May and June where you invite seven friends
over for a party and give them the opportunity to donate to Brigadoon Youth & Service
Dog Programs. We will supply pictures, testimonials, fliers and ways to share Brigadoon’s
mission with your guests. This is a great way to help support Brigadoon even if you live
out of the area. If you are able to host a party please call or email Jeni Mhyre for more
information. soymochaplz@yahoo.com or 360-715-2182
